 Wim van Acker

Wim combines nearly two decades as a management consultant with his engineering and industrial background to find the solutions that most effectively meet the needs of our clients. Wim spent 18 years with two top management consultancies, A.T. Kearney and Roland Berger Strategy Consulting, working in Europe, North America and Latin America. Wim's primary focus is on solar and biomass, but his client work touches all elements of alternative energy. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology in Delft, the Netherlands.
 Richard Blieden, Ph.D.

Richard is a leading authority on solar applications worldwide. Over his 40+ years in the solar field, Richard has served on the Board of Directors of the Solar Energy Industries Association (as Vice Chairman of the Photovoltaic Division), and he organized the first US National Programs for Solar Electric Applications at the ERDA and NSF. He has also managed projects for large energy companies, such as Chevron (Chevron SolarMine), Tosco-Exxon Battlement Mesa Alternative Energy Community), and was a leader in several successful energy start-up companies, including Arco Solar, B & E Energy Systems, Inc., Sovonics Solar Systems, and United Solar Ovonics. These companies have introduced innovative technological solutions and contributed substantially to today's robust solar PV industry.
 Michael Dergis

Mike has spent much of his career working with and for entrepreneurial start ups and energy companies. Mike worked for 10 years at the global management consulting firm, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. While there, he helped to develop the firm's US energy practice. He also worked with large industrial investors to identify opportunities in alternative energy. Prior to that, Mike spent 7 years with several start-ups, including Advanced Modular Power Systems, a company developing a thermal-electric conversion device. Lately, Mike has focused on wind, solar and biomass projects.
 Karl Hirtreiter

Karl is a leading authority on technological applications worldwide. Much of his 35 years of experience has been focused on technologies that improve automobile efficiency, including 19 years in Vehicle Technology Development and Engineering with BMW and 15 years in senior management positions in Technology Development with Volkswagen Group. Karl's focus is on alternative propulsion technology for transportation.
